PUNE: Eighteen passengers were injured after a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus toppled onto its side on a steep slope on the Pune-Mumbai highway on Sunday night.
According to the highway police, the bus was travelling from Solapur to Thane. “The bus driver applied sudden brakes on the steep slope after crossing Rajmachi point on the highway. As a result, the bus tipped over on its side on the road. The highway later meets the expressway,” a highway police official said. More info
