For the first time since the Mumbai Metro became operational in the city, a mega-block will be carried out on the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar (VAG) Metro line, for two hours each on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, for maintenance work.
This means commuters will have to wait till 7.30am to take the first Metro trains at each end, on these three days.
Revenue services will also remain shut during the mega-block as a result of which commuters will not be able to purchase tickets or passes.
The operator, Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd, said regular announcements will be made inside the trains and at stations, so commuters are aware of the mega-block and can tweak their travel plans. More info
