Mumbai: The Devendra Fadnavis government on Friday decided to extend the second metro route between Mankhurd and Charkop via Bandra to Dahisar, and build the 22km trans-harbour link between Sewri and Nhava on a cash contract basis, said sources who were present there.
Fadnavis and senior government officials also reportedly decided to conduct a fresh comprehensive study on traffic projections for the proposed coastal road as well as water transport projects on the city’s west coast.
In his first-ever review of Mumbai projects, Fadnavis asked senior officials of the infrastructure and transport agencies to chalk out a time-bound implementation programme. He also put the Navi Mumbai airport and Metro-III on top on his agenda. More info
