DMRC to look after 2 corridors of Mumbai Metro

MUMBAI: The Executive Committee of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), headed by Swadhin Kshatriya, chief secretary, government of Maharashtra accorded administrative approval to the appointment of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to implement the 18.5km long Dahisar to DN Nagar Metro-2 corridor and interim consultant for the 16.5km long Dahisar (East) to Andheri (East) Metro-7 corridor.

The Executive Committee also approved 25 electric/hybrid buses for the Bandra-Kurla Complex and appointed contractor to construct a 3km long flyover from Late Rajiv Gandhi Chowk to Saibaba Mandir in the Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation area.
