MUMBAI: MMRDA officials have sought suggestions from the public for Mumbai Metro’s third line.

The line, which is expected to be underground from Colaba-Mahim-BKC-Seepz, is expected to cost Rs 18,000 crore and will be 33 km long, making it the longest metro line planned for the city.

“We will be using latest techniques with a tunnel boring machine to carve out an underground passage. Only at the stations will there be some displacement,” said MMRDA commissioner, Rahul Asthana. The objections will be accepted at the MMRDA office till January 11 after which there will be a public hearing.
