Mumbai, February 2, 2017– The Metropolitan Commissioner, Mr. U.P.S. Madan, today, announced 30% increase in the Holiday Allowance for the employees who work on Saturday-Sunday and holidays to complete the job on hand on or before time.
The Commissioner also mentioned that the four Metro corridors – Dahisar to DN Nagar, DN Nagar to Mankhurd, Wadala to Kasarwadavli and Dahisar (East) to Andheri (East) – covering almost 100 km distance has created 455 direct jobs in MMRDA resulting in many deserving employees earned promotions. Mr. Madan was speaking at a ceremony held in Shanmukhanand Hall, Matunga, to celebrate 42 Anniversary of the Authority.
The Metropolitan Commissioner also complimented MMRDA employees and said, “A very warm bonding among MMRDA employees is the strength of the institution and that is the driving force of MMRDA as it takes on and completes many a mega projects for the city and its metropolitan region”.
“We are very happy that the Metropolitan Commissioner has considered few of our demands in a positive manner. We also hope he will consider our other demands such as a permanent tenement in the Rental Housing Scheme, Pension, Mediclaim after retirement etc.”, said Mr. Siddharth Satvadhir, Chairman, Backward Class Employees’ Association, and Mr. Subodh Surve, Chairman, MMRDA Employees’ Union, echoed each other.
MMRDA employees, on the occasion, also enjoyed a Marathi play “All The Best 2”, written and directed by Devendra Pem. The Anniversary is organized by MMRDA’s Sanskrutik Kala and Krida Mandal. More info
