MUMBAI: The recently launched Mumbai Metro created a record by carrying over one million commuters on its fourth day of operation.
Today at 4.30 pm it has crossed the one million mark of ridership that it achieved within 59 hours of operation since inception of commercial operation of Mumbai Metro that connects 11.40 km long highly congested stretch between east and west of Mumbai.
“Carrying one million commuters within 59 hours is an exemplary achievement by itself. This once again proves overwhelming acceptance of Mumbai Metro by the people and places it much ahead of other Metro systems available in the country,” said a MMOPL spokesperson. More info
