Mumbai Metro master plan: Maharashtra government nod for Delhi body revise and update blueprint

A formal nod has been given by the state to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to revise and update Mumbai Metro Master Plan for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).

“Formal nod has been given to DMRC by CM to revise Metro Master Plan and prepare Detailed Project Report (DPR) on metro rails so that traffic congestion issue of Mumbai can be resolved,” said UPS Madan, Metropolitan Commissioner of MMRDA.

In all, DPRs of four Metro rail corridors will be prepared. The four corridors are – Andheri East to Dahisar East (18-km) on Western Express Highway, Jogeshwari to Kanjurmarg (12-km) on Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road, Andheri West to Dahisar West (18-km) on Link Road and Bandra Kurla Complex to Mankhurd (12-km).
