State-run City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) is expected to further extend the deadline for the submission of request for qualification (RFQ) for the Navi Mumbai international airport from December 10 to December-end.
This is necessary as the Union civil aviation ministry is yet to give its clearance on single or dual till approach and also on share-holding pattern. Cidco is likely to take a decision in this regard in day or two.
Besides, Cidco is currently engaged in the acquisition of 456 hectares of private land. Cidco, which had issued RFQ on February 5, had already extended the deadline many times – first to July 30, then to September 2, October 31 and December 10.
Cidco officials are to brief the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on the present status of the bidding process, land acquisition and extension of deadline for RFQ submission. More info
