The first phase of the proposed Rs 14,500-crore global airport at Navi Mumbai would be ready by December 2018, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) of Maharashtra Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Bhatia said on Tuesday.
Bhatia said settlement of disputes with almost all villages for smooth land acquisition was CIDCO’s priority. The agency is developing a 600-square-kilometre township for the airport, he added.
Other than the airport, CIDCO has started infrastructure development of Rs 20,000 crore for the nodes managed by it in Navi Mumbai. More info
