Serco signs one-year wireless deal for Dubai Metro

The operator of Dubai’s Metro, Serco, has signed a one-year deal with Nedaa Professional Communication Co to maintain a wireless network across all 50 of the stations on both the red and green lines of Dubai Metro.

The work will see Nedaa take responsiblity for the maintenance of 50 transmission stations, as well as a round-the-clock montoriing of their performance. It will also lead to a revamp of the telecoms networks at stations.

The acting CEO of the RTA’s Rail Agency, Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, said: “The RTA welcomes the cooperation and coordination with the leading entities in the community, particularly as Nedaa Corporation is among specialist entities in the field of providing wireless telecommunication solutions; which will contribute to upgrading the metro communication network in keeping with the highest standards.” More info
