The state undertaking Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court against the Central government appointed Fare Fixation Committee's (FFC) report recommending fare hike up to Rs 110 from the present structure of Rs 10, 20, 30, 40 for the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar metro corridor.
Almost a month after it was set up, the fare fixation committee (FFC) for the city's first Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar metro has invited representations and proposals from the public as well as state agencies for determining the fares.

The Research Design & Standard Organisation (RDSO) has finished conducting safety tests on the corridor and will soon send a report to the commissioner of the Metro Rail Safety with its observations.
